Description: Convenient to the Charlottesville area, this out-and-back route is a great introduction to the Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park. It heads north on for 26 miles before turning around at the Loft Mountain Wayside and heading back. Great scenery with multiple long, moderate grades.

From Charlottesville, take I-64 west to Exit 99. Turn right onto US 250 and shortly thereafter turn into the parking area at the old Howard Johnson's. A fee or pass with be required when you enter the Shenandoah National Park at the beginning of the ride.
